Project Description

E.Lynch & Sons were appointed to deliver the works required to bring electrical power to a residential development in Sutton. The project involved excavation within the main carriageway, installation of new utility services, and full lane reinstatement, all carried out under controlled traffic management.

A vacuum excavator was used to safely expose existing services and minimise disruption. In total, approximately 1.5 kilometres of ESB ducting was installed, ensuring a reliable power supply to the development. The works were completed in accordance with the required specifications and safety standards.

Works Carried Out

  • Mobilisation and site setup within the main carriageway in Sutton.
  • Implementation of traffic management measures with traffic control personnel.
  • Excavation of service trenches.
  • Use of vacuum excavator to safely expose existing underground services.
  • Installation of new utility services.
  • Laying of approximately 1.5km of ESB ducting.
  • Backfilling and compaction of trenches in accordance with specifications.
  • Full lane reinstatement to required local authority standards.
